Delayed delivery

I posted an item which got delayed through Evri. 
The buyer said the parcel hadn’t arrived so was refunded. 
The parcel arrived today but on looking, the case is closed. 
I’ve tried the help line but they say it’ll have to go to another department and someone will contact me. 
Will I get paid for this item I posted!?

Who refunded?

If you used simple delivery ebay would have handled the refund and you keep the payment.

That’s strange… yes simple delivery was used but the money was taken off my account.

If you have refunded, then it is up to you to contact buyer, for another payment.

There is no way to do this through ebay, so has to be by paypal or bank transfer.

As said in the event of lost in post, ebay refunds not the seller. Why you were  debited I have no idea, but now it is between you and buyer to sort out.

I don't understand how you ended up refunding on a late simple delivery item.

Are you aware that if you buy to sell you need an ebay business account and they don't use simple delivery?
