Delay shipment request by buyer

My buyer has paid but asked me to delay shipment for a week, will this affect my rating as a seller?

It could affect your late delivery mark on your account.

What you can do,  is to buy over the counter postage at your Post Office or online,  and not through eBay postage as that triggers an immediate tracking showing item sent.

With a PO postage bought  when the time comes to post, and  then mark the item as dispatched, don't enter tracking numbers.   You can keep the tracking number safe just in case an item not received is later opened.

Hi thank you for your advise. I have messaged the buyer to confirm the new delivery date and will buy online postage based on this.

Don't buy the postage from eBay. 

Personally I would just take it to the Post Office at the correct time,  and pay for over the counter postage there, and keep that proof of postage safe somewhere.
