Damaged in transit

Good evening,

I have recently sold some turntables and a mixer but the items have been damaged in transit.

I contacted DHL to raise a claim but I was told this has to be done by EBay.

i passed this on to the seller the same day but they didn’t want to raise a return as they wanted to keep the item but wanted me to replace the bits that were broken.

This would cost me 100 quid so offered to go halves as it wasn’t my fault, but they aren’t prepared to pay any extra.

Any idea what happens next? It’s now 4 working days since delivery. The buyer is claiming that they can’t see where you raise a claim, therefore they are going to request a refund.

Thanks

Re: Damaged in transit

Your buyer should open an eBay return and select 'arrived damaged/damaged in transit'.

eBay will sort it out if it was a Simple Delivery label.

Re: Damaged in transit

If you shipped using Simple Delivery ebay will handle the refund. Ask your buyer to open a case using "Damaged in transit"

I think they will keep the item while being refunded, but ebay will let them know.
