Contacting potential buyer

A potential buyer made me an offer on an item I am selling which I would have accepted. Unfortunately I was away for the weekend and didn't accept in time. Is there anyway of contacting the bidder to ask him/her to remake the offer? EBay doesn't let me contact him/her.

Find the message with the offer and you should have the buyer's ID from where you can send a message or a link to send a message from that message.

Just make it clear if they still wish to buy the item they can, and tosend the offer again, and buy from the eBay listing,  make it clear it's not for an off eBay sale.

I have tried to do that but the message won't send - I suspect because eBay is blocking it because it suspects I am trying to in some way fiddle the
