Contact seller option

The contact seller option has been an issue for a while.. when is eBay gonna fix this? 
May this point I can’t even contact the seller!? Prior to this it would just got back to my eBay after selecting the “contact buyer” option. There is also a very bad glitch when trying to use the community page.. !? Things are bad on the app atm.

How are you trying to contact seller?

Appreciate the reply.. but this is a work around not a solution. EBay needs to fix the comms issue.. as we rely on comms to initiate the sales and special requests.

Giving blanket reply’s is not addressing the actual issue. I’m well aware of how to contact a seller. This issue is .. all methods are not working!!?

You are talking ( as I'm sure you know ? )  to member's like yourself and members are giving you workarounds because they cannot answer your first and of course valid question... ' when will this be fixed'.

If you want some form of direct answer to that.  then you'll need to ask this question direct to  Community managers, who are reachable on the Wednesday chat at 2p.m. here.

I did a trial with contacting you, it will work fine, although i didn't write anything.

When messages come up, bottom right corner is where you type your message.

It has been this way for a long time

I bought something today and contacted seller with no trouble. The item is now in my hall!

When I click the contact seller .. it’s just revolves back to the previous page eg the item purchased info?

I’m aware of who is replying.. and when I say “when will this be fix” it’s a statement not a question.

I spoke to eBay about this issue recently and they informed me there has been several tickets raised about the issue over the last three months and then informed me that he’s gonna take more than a year to fix!? Really!?

this issue needs to be fixed immediately as it’s becoming an absolute nightmare in regards to purchases to the point where I’m not beating on items because I can’t contact the seller in regards to particular instructions.

And I’m not alone in this issue as several members of the eBay community have contacted me in regards to this stating they have the same issue so if you don’t have the same issue great but there are members of this community that are facing this issue.. so gloating to the fact that you don’t have this issue is a testament to your selfishness.

Are you using the app?

I use laptop & website.

Lots of issues only occur on the app.

Thank you for your posts.

We are aware of this issue as we have received reports of it impacting more users over the last week. It has been escalated with our tech team. I am not sure about the detail you got on it taking a year to fix as this would not be correct. While we don't get specific timelines on fixes tech work to resolve them as soon as possible.

Once we get a further update on the resolution for this we will post back on the threads.

The notion it would take a year was given to me from a representative of eBay while on the phone discussing the issue.
