Hi everyone,
I’d like to share my experience with Simple Delivery and ask if other sellers are also facing similar issues.
Since eBay introduced Simple Delivery, it has significantly limited flexibility for sellers:
We cannot request collection for larger parcels (mine often weigh 10–15 kg).
We cannot modify the parcel size after purchasing a prepaid label.
There’s no way to add courier instructions (e.g. gate codes, delivery notes).
The system automatically selects a courier, with no option to choose.
When I contacted eBay support, I was told that if the buyer purchases the label and doesn't use it, the refund is automatic within 30 days.
However, if the seller purchases the label, they must fill out a special form to request a refund, which is not automatic and takes extra time.
This makes the process inconvenient and negatively affects customer service, especially for sellers who deal with large or heavy items.
I’d like to know:
Have any of you contacted support about this?
Have you been satisfied with Simple Delivery?
Do you also find the lack of flexibility frustrating?
Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences.
Thanks!

Your question is totally irrelevant as you are an unregistered business seller.
Genuine private sellers do not have multiples of new items.
Correctly upgrade, before ebay force you to & SD won't apply to you.

Simple Delivery only applies to private sellers.
As a genuine private seller, listing and selling my own, secondhand, personal possessions I can honestly state:
I have not contacted support about SD
I am satisfied with SD
I always used Royal Mail for postage and still do so 'lack of flexibility' is not an issue.
Solving the issues you are having with Simple Delivery is entirely in your hands.
If you upgrade to a business account, you won't have to use it.
