Combining postage under new postage arrangements

I have sold three heavy items to one buyer and want to package them together and send them so that I only pay one postage fee.  eBay says that I can't combine the items, and there is no facility to send an amended invoice.

This seems connected with the recent introduction of the Simple Delivery option.  How can I combine the postage on these items?  The goods are only worth about £10, so paying three lots of £10 postage when they can go for £10 as one package is ridiculous, and the buyer won't pay £30 as he is expecting combined postage of £10!

Yep,  it's still a technical issue, why so long to fix this?  Nobody knows!

If postage was purchased though Simple Delivery and you now post all the items together the buyer will receive a refund for the unused labels they paid for, might be worth sending them a message explaining this,  and that it may take up to / over 30 days for the refund to appear.

The best way forward would be to cancel all items, of course,  with the buyer's acceptance, and relisting them as one, so there's one  important tracking number, one postage price. Ensure any message to your buyer makes it very clear the reason why the items are being cancelled,  that they are to be relisted on eBay again,  for the buyer to buy, leave no room for doubt that this is Not an off eBay sale.

Some sellers are leaving a message on their listing,  for example.....   ' If you wish to buy multiple items,  please let me know before buying,  I will relist them as one listing so only one postage cost is charged, combining postage is not currently possible. '

If you want to send the items together you have to at least get the second and third ones to show as dispatched.   To do that you have to generate the original prepaid labels.

Afterwards if you paid for the original labels you can cancel them here:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/claims/simple-delivery/refund/seller
Or if the buyer paid for them they will be refunded to them automatically in 30 days.

The alternative would be to cancel/refund the transactions with the buyer's agreement and relist with items on one listing and a single postage cost for the buyer to buy and pay again.
