Can I still sell large bulky items as Collection in Person as a private seller once the new Simple Selling rules come into force?
Are the opt out options only for letters under 100gm and under £10 and does this apply to bulky items having to be under £10.
I am wanting to sell off my husbands fishing equipment - some are too large and inconvenient to post eg large fishing rods / poles, fishing basket, trolley etc.

Collection in person items can still be sold when Simple Delivery comes into force but payment will be made via eBay checkout and the buyer given a collection code before contact details can be exchanged and the code must be shown by the buyer and entered into the eBay system by seller to release payment and prove collection. No more cash on collection.
Bulky items over 61x46x46cm are excluded from Royal Mail
For an Evri parcel shop drop-off – no side exceeds 120cm in length, the volume is no more than 245cm. To calculate the volume, add together the two shortest sides and multiply it by two, and then add the length
Items over 20kg excluded

Thank you - that rules out Simple Delivery for 99% of his equipment. I understand about the no cash payments and payment being made at checkout as I purchased something this way a few years ago.
