Collection and payment when collected.

With all this total nightmare of a mess eBay have created with their changes is it my belief that you can no longer offer Collection with cash payment when collected of an item is this correct.

That is correct,  there is no cash on collection anymore,  but this was introduced a long time ago, well before Simple Delivery  becoming mandatory for Private sellers,   seemingly from yesterday , but some are still seeing and being able to use,  Custom Postage.

Thanks for the reply so they have that way of selling also covered as I guess they can’t get their sticky little fingers on the sale money since their free to sell move. So then they have to pay through eBay giving them full control over the sale and keeping the money until they seem fit to release funds while the buyer takes the item and you haven’t been paid yes I don’t think so

eBay would say that it's to protect buyers, as cash payment was not covered by eBay's money back guarantee.

This is true, but it also benefits eBay. As there's no buyer protection for cash payment eBay wouldn't be able to charge its new buyer protection fee if it allowed this as an option.
