Many thanks indeed to everyone who sold me items for my collection and for all those who also bought items from me. I do not like these new changes to EBay and the fortnight delay in payouts. I also have close links with my local shop/Post Office and always bought my stamps from them annd any tracked items when necessary. I don't have a printer and therefore will not clog up my local shop requesting they print all my labels as they do nnot gain any payment for this. I would also feel very awkward as I know I will delay other genuine customers during this process.
I have now removed all items off sale and have requested to close this account. I understand mant business users on these forums are very happy we 'privates' are on our way, however if you check your sales perhaps you will understand that you are very rarely selling to other business account holders. EBay understand what they are doing/have done and a slimmed down selling platform may be easier/cheaper to operate and manage. Good luck to all, I was very happy with the process, Pay Pal etc, but can no longer operate with the continual changes, it has got too technical and too difficult to list simple items without 500 technical requests.

Personally, I'd have left the account open just in case you did decide to use it again, closing negates that option and you'd be starting again without that nice feedback score.
You need to do what's best for you though.

I think you will find it will be some time before your account closes. If you have been selling until recently, the potential liability for refunds including charge backs extends for months into the future.
Your items seem to be low value, have you seen that for items under £10 posted without tracking, that funds will be released after receipt of feedback. I think it was within 2 days.
This seems to be a let out for small sellers, I hope, as my sales are rarely over £10.

Or in this case state the blindingly obvious; as soon as my last funds are available in 11 days and 8 1/2 hours, I will check out. After 13 years of no issues/comebacks etc. I won’t be losing any sleep or logging in to a dead account.

None of us are paid by eBay.
We give up our time to help others, but can only advise within eBay policies.
A lot of sellers are unhappy about new system,
Your choice if you close your account, it seems eBay are not worried about losing people.

There is the option to opt out of simple delivery 😉

You seem to think we agree with ebay policies.
We don't always, but as said we can't do anything about them.

Pro-mentor means you are being paid to state the company rhetoric ?
If you wish to leave eBay, leave eBay, but please don't come here talking nonsense about things you know nothing about.
None of us are paid, let alone to state eBay's rhetoric or "advance the company Diktat". We give our time to try to help less experienced users through the minefield of rules, regulations and scams that often leave them lost, bewildered and losing money. I think we all pride ourselves on telling things as they are, including when necessary being brutally frank about the reality of eBay and the risks of buying and selling here.
