Close account with credit balance.

I sold a service after a few years of abandoning ebay. 

I now remember why I stopped using ebay. Anyway, I sold a service, everyone is happy. But the funds are withheld as my bank requires verification. OK! So O followed the process. Received the micro payments, verified. But no. Ebay now way to access my banking app, have a copy of my ID; passport, driving licence etc. 

Absolutely not. I'm not opening my bank account for some ebay employee to have a gander, or share my ID for 60 odd quid. Not a bloody chance. 

So how can I close my long standing (20 year account) with ebay? I will take a hit with the balance, just want to be done with them. Spiting myself, probably. But no other platform requests this amount of data, so they can shove it.

Any ideas? They tell me I can't close the account, but out of principle they can do one.

Your issue is you a business trading on a private account. 

You need to end all listings,  then click link to close, it is not instant.

I'm not a business. Just a regular Joe making a few quid (not much) But anyway, cheers.
