Clarification on Buyer-Initiated Cancellation and Refund Handling

I recently sold an item and the buyer has requested a cancellation. The payment shows as received, but the funds are still on hold and won't be released to me until after delivery.

Before I proceed with accepting the cancellation, I’d like confirmation on how the refund will be handled. Specifically:

Will any amount be charged to my linked bank account or payment method to cover the refund, given that I have not yet received the payout? Or will the refund be deducted from the held funds once they clear?

I want to ensure that accepting the cancellation won’t result in an unexpected withdrawal from my account. Please advise on the best course of action in this situation.

I believe what normally happens is ebay take the money from your bank account and you keep the payment when it's released.   It's always possible with ebay that they've changed things around but that's their usual practice.

Yes, once accepted the cancellation, the balance was showing in and out and equals no payment.
