Changing delivery address after buying an item

I bought an item using my friends debt card and change the delivery address at the same time 

but when it went through and paid for I noticed that it still had my delivery address which I don’t live at this address anymore 

so I contacted the seller straight away asking to change the delivery address because I don’t live at that address anymore 

The reply I received was that they couldn’t change it due to eBay rules 

but when I looked into that on eBay it said they could now I’ve lost the item

Sellers have to send to the address supplied via ebay.    The best thing to do would have been for the seller to cancel the transaction, you update your account with the correct address, then buy and pay again.
