I put an item on my watchlist yesterday. It was advertised at £110 with Buy it now option. Today I decided that I could collect it and wanted to Buy it Now and found it was advertised at both £115 with postage of £20, then £100 with postage of £20 and Buy it Now. When I clicked on the £100 advert, because it was best value, to see the details it was showing £115, without Buy it Now. Very confusing. I contacted the seller to check what price it was actually being sold for, as I was happy to Buy it Now, but have had no reply.
Is this practice allowed on EBay? How can so many versions exist for the same item? What are EBay’s rules about prices, and what should it legally be sold for? I have photos of it offered at different prices. It does make me suspicious about buying the item from this seller at all. I also noted that this same item had been relisted from the week before when it was listed at £70. I look forward to your guidance.

Once any bid has been placed the buy now option is removed by eBay.
If the item had a starting price of £115, it sounds as though someone has already bid at least the starting price, in which case it will now continue as an auction.
Or the seller could possibly have decided to remove the buy now option.
If you wish to let us know the item number we will be better able to check what happened.
