EBAY advertisement is misleading, and it needs to be reported. I want to buy a large quantity of cat food for my local Animal Aid in Huncote, Leicestershire, Elmwood Farm, Forest Road, Huncote LE9 3LE.
When looking at the advertisement on eBay's website, I see that the cat food comes in Boxes of 120 pouches or 144 pouches in a box. However, this is NOT how my order arrived at my doorstep then, and to add insult to injury, there was a box of 40 missing from the order. I really am disgusted with eBay, as I reported the matter the same day. Now they have the nerve to say we have closed the case without a refund. We will see about that. Perhaps the BBC needs to hear about the advertising practices.

if part of your order was missing you need to open a not as described case and follow it through - exactly what did you do?

Sorry we need words not some sort of code.
The ebay money back guarantee provides excellent buyer protection if used properly. I assume you didn't do that?
Whose advertising practices are you going to report? You bought from a seller who uses ebay to sell, not from ebay, and sellers are entirely responsible for their listings and sales.

Why did eBay close the case without you getting a refund?
If you receive an order and part of that order is missing, you let the seller know and, if no joy, you open an eBay return and select the 'missing parts or pieces' reason. The seller then needs to issue you with a pre-paid returns label and you return the item and get a full refund.
