Case of lost parcel

On Saturday, October 4, 2025, I sold an item, and the customer requested delivery via Evri (I always have problems with this courier). I shipped the package the next day, as usual, and it was on its way on Monday, October 6, 2025. Two days ago, the buyer asked where his package was. I explained that it was delayed, as evidenced by the tracking number.
Today, October 11, 2025, the customer filed a refund claim with eBay due to a lost package.
They sent me a message informing me that eBay had refunded the buyer from its own funds.

In the afternoon, the website showed that the package had been delivered to the buyer and that the buyer had signed for the package.

I wrote to the buyer requesting an explanation, but... they remained silent.
Are claims being filed with eBay too quickly?

Maybe that is the case.

However, as this refund came out of Ebay's 'pocket' it's not your problem.

Perhaps, as time goes on, Ebay will rethink their overly optimistic estimated delivery dates and how quickly buyers are allowed to open a case for non-delivery.
