Case closed in buyers favour as no label supplied in time even though buyer is on holiday...

Buyer bought item

Claimed it was not as described

Ebay escalated claim giving me 5 days to produce a label

Messaged buyer numerous times to get dimensions as item is large and needs to be in 2 boxes, no reply from buyer.

Few days later buyer replys stating 'away at the moment, will get them sent over as soon as im back'

Now the case has been closed in the buyers favour with a full refund and they still have the item

Where do I stand with this ? Have spoken to customer service and have been told im at fault for not providing a label ?

Buyers can escalate their claim to ask eBay to step in after 3 business days, and if no label has been issued then eBay may just refund the buyer, it's vital for a seller to respond before then.

Obtaining any payment from the buyer or arranging to get your item back is now outside of eBay.

I must ask, if you sent the item to the buyer in the first place, why did you not know the dimensions of the packaged product?

Ebay are right, you sold the item and posted so simply had to use the same postage to send the buyer a prepaid label to return.

Hi there,

Thank you for your messages, the item is a funny shape and size. Its large and heavy ( has to go in to boxes ).

I have had crazy surcharges from delivery company in the past if the measurements are in correct.
