This is between you and the seller.
If it was a UK business seller, write a letter to them explaining the issue and what you expect them to do.
It's too late to make any claim through Ebay who give you 30 days to return a faulty item, and probably too late to start a chargeback through your payment source. Generally, banks etc. give you 120 days to claim for items which are not fit for purpose, but you should check with your bank to see if they can help.
