I have a buyer who has ordered two separate items from me and paid for two postage labels. I need to send in one parcel - Usually I would use prepaid simple delivery label on first item and mark the second item as dispatched and add the tracking number from first item to the second item. I refund the buyer the postage cost on second item. Worked fine until yesterday.
The two issues are:
From yesterday system won’t allow me to mark second item as dispatched. When I try system says ‘Not allowed to do this’
From yesterday when I click on ‘add tracking’ (which has now moved to a new location in menus) it goes to a dead page saying server down.
Before anyone says it, I don’t want to ask buyer to cancel orders and then relist in one bundle. Buyers simply wander off and results in lost sales.
Please can eBay fix this? It’s a basic requirement to be able to send multiple items in one package!! The workaround above was fine, why is it now disabled?

If you didn't use Simple Delivery label but you own postage, then add your new tracking preferably using a laptop / PC and Chrome not the app or mobile browser, this way:

Thanks, buyer has paid for simple delivery for both items. These items are bought using 'make offer' so buyer offers and commits to buying at that price. The process above is the only way to add tracking, but the problem is that the system to add tracking goes to a dead page and has done for last couple of days (I have tested on all browsers desktop and mobile):
