Cancel a sale

Hi all 

I have sold an item. In the text i outline that the buyer is welcome to arrange courier etc to pick up, and i will arrange for it to get on the van.

There are postage options on the page, however none that i have put on. 

The buyer has picked the cheapest option with Royal Mail, however the item is heavier, it is a tent and there are several items with it, than the 15kg allowed on it. I wish to cancel the sale. Am i allowed to, please?

Yes, you can cancel.  Click on the dropdown menu arrow alongside the item on your orders page and select Cancel order.    Then you have to choose a reason.   If you contact the buyer first they might agree to cancel and you can use the buyer asked to cancel reason.   Otherwise pick another one.

If you relist be sure to select collection only and deselect the postage option, during the listing process.

Buyers will always pick cheapest postage.

If you made an error, you should pay the extra yourself. 

No one can make you go through with sale, but if you cancel, expect bad feedback.
