Can the seller change delivery method after someone has purchased

I have had a diamond ring bought from me & in my description I had stated I would be  free delivery with Royal mail special delivery but what I didn't realise was it the postage part it says evri. So I asked the buyer if they were ok with me sending it royal mail SD they said yes as it's safer. So my question is can I send it with royal mail or not because I don't trust evri. Sorry guys of any inconvenience.

Think you need to cancel Evri label and use your preferred method, particularly as evri compensation is only £20.

Thank you for answering my question. I am sorry for being annoying but my brain is not braining today. I have sold the item & I can't see a way to change the courier  from evri to royal mail can you possibly explain how I do it or do I have to cancel the order & explain to the buyer. Many thanks

Re: Can the seller change delivery method after someone has purchased

eBay's Simple Delivery doesn't cover jewellery so as said it's best to buy your own postage and request a refund for the ebay label here:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/claims/simple-delivery/refund/seller

To mark the item as dispatched open the original Simple Delivery label.    Then add the new tracking number via View Order Details > Postage > Track Package > dropdown arrow > Add Tracking.   That has to be done on a desktop browser.   Cancel the label after that.
