Can someone tell me how to get a refund for a postage label, when I have already said "dispatch"

Hello,

 I have a postage label which I included in my advert. I made the sale, but I stupidly clicked on "mark as dispatched" for the item so the Ebay system thinks that I have used that particular postage label. However, I didn't use that label. I paid the postage physically at the Post Office. The Ebay system says that it won't activate a refund (because it thinks that I have used that label, when I haven't). I updated the tracking in the Ebay system for the new tracking number, but this has not helped the situation. 

Can anyone help me with how to get a refund for a Royal Mail postage label that I have not used, but I have said "mark as dispatched" for that particular item?

As long as Simple Delivery wasn't used,  you can receive a full refund for the unused label,  but may have to wait 24 hours for it to appear,  before you can cancel it.

Find your label with this link . https://www.ebay.co.uk/ship/lmng/labels-history/seller-hub and to the left of the sales record there is a drop down menu under 'Actions' click on that , then click on 'Void Label'.

The refund will take between 5 - 21 days to process.

Hi Tresseygirl,

A huge thank you for taking the time to reply, to help me. The thing is, and it's my mistake, I chose Simple Delivery. I bought 4 of them at £2.70 each and I can't use even 1 of them. I have paid for them all directly at the Post Office. Do you know of any way I can be reimbursed for 4 x Simple Delivery at £2.70 each (large letter, up to 750grams)?

As long as your items are marked dispatched you will get the payments.   It will take 14 days because obviously the tracking won't work.

Simple Delivery labels cannot be cancelled by us but it might be worth asking ebay about it.   You can contact them using callback on here:

Thank you very much peaseblossom. I called that number and a lady called me back from a number with a country code of 49 (I think that's Germany). She also said that I should just wait for the refund to appear etc, so that is what I am doing. The telephone number was really helpful (i.e. the link that you provided).
