REGARDING EBAY ITEM NUMBER 326493264673 BLODGETT OVEN
I saw last night, on return from holiday, that the above item was sold on August 27, 2025 when looking at my account balance.
I received no notification of the sale nor did I get feedback from the purchaser, and no emils of this in my spam folder as well.
This has meant that I have not been able to thank the purchaser for the sale or arrange a pickup.
What has one wrong and how can EBay rectify the situation and explqain to the purchaser the position.
Please do Help.
Steve

You could have set your account to time away then the item would not have been sold while you were on holiday.
This is really not an issue for Ebay to sort out. Have you contacted the buyer to apologise and try and sort out a date for them to collect the item?

You need to check your notifcations. Go to your My eBay > Account tab (near top left) > Account preferences > Communication Preferences > Edit on right of each topic
Or here's a direct link:
https://commspreferences.ebay.co.uk/commsprefs
You can still contact the buyer from your orders page via the dropdown menu on the right of the item. Explain problem and ask if they want to proceed.

how can EBay rectify the situation
It isn't up to eBay to sort this out. It's up to you and your buyer.
You need to message the buyer to explain the delay and - if they still want ti - ask them to pay. Once the buyer has paid through eBay checkput you will be free to exchange contact details and arrange for pickup.
If it was sold for collection, the buyer will be sent a QR code to bring as evidence of collection, and to enable eBay to release their payment to you, if they are holding it.
If they buyer has given up waiting and bought elsewhere you can agree a cancelletion.
