CLICK AND COLLECT

A buyer has given his address as an Argos, to collect under the Click and Collect, I have never sent like this before - preferring to use the Post Office. online chat is not available, ends at 10pm -- If I just write a label with the Argos address and the other information, including the 'ecp code' will it get there please?  I don't print labels, as I have no printer -- I'm wondering if what I suggested would work? any help please, thanks

You have to send it to the address provided by eBay for delivery.

If the buyer uused a click and collect option when paying the address will the store that they selected and eBay will imstruct you to deliver it there. I've never used it myself, but there may be a barcode or QR code to attach to identify the order.

If eBay only provided the buyer's address, that's where you have to send it - to the buyer's own address.

Buyers can't make their own unoffiial click and collect arrangements, if this is what your buyer is trying to do. In any case, Argos probably wouln't accept rhe delivery and even if they did they wouldn't release without a collection code number from eBay.

CLICK AND COLLECT

Thanks, I didn't offer click and collect and when I was about to prepare the parcel I noticed it was an Argos address, I contacted the buyer to query this and they said, 'we always have our parcels sent there because it's more convenient for us' — I don't have a printer, as I always write the address on a sticky label and attach it to the parcel and then take to the Post Office, which is what I prefer to do.. If the address is the Argos store then I'm wondering how this works, I think the buyer is sent a code by Ebay and that's how they are able to collect? It's a bit confusing to say the least. I guess the buyer can choose this, but I'm just nervous as never posted this way before.. ????

You do have C&C on your listings - only items over £5 qualify but this is from your brown tunic:

Collection:
Click & Collect - Select store at checkout.
Collection:
Free collection in person from Liverpool, United Kingdom
Postage:
£3.99 Royal Mail 1st Class Letter / Large Letter.

If you don't want to offer it, you should take it off your current listings.

I also handwrite all my labels and use Royal Mail, posting at the local Post Office so that is not a problem.
The key thing is that you must include the eCP code which is part of the address.
It will be 'eCP' with a series of capital letters after it.
The code means the store can log receipt of the item and identify the buyer.  The buyer is sent a code as you thought.
So, you don't have to do anything differently apart from including that code as part of the address,
"There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn't true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.”
Søren Kierkegaard, Danish philosopher (1813 - 1855)
