Buying dvds from China

Hi there I'm considering buying dvds from China. All region free & with English subs. Also free postage but have been stung before with charges I never saw coming. Any advice please?

For items under £15 there's no charge.   Over £15 you pay VAT.   Over £135 you pay VAT plus import duty.

Thanks so much for your reply. If I pay the vat already to ebay does that remove that payment? Thanks

You should only pay VAT once.   There's more info on here:

Anything you buy from overseas will attract import VAT there is no longer a £15 limit.

 

For items under £135 VAT is collected  by eBay at checkout,for items over £135 the UK courier will collect it  plus their handling fee and any duty due usually before delivery
