Buyers using Alipay as a payment method

A buyer from China emailed me, wanting to buy two of my products, they said that they wanted to use Alipay as a payment method but when they went to checkout it wasn't available as an option, so they asked me to activate Alipay as a payment method. I don't know how to and know nothing about Alipay so I went online to get any information on why Alipay wasn't available for this person, but I found nothing, only that Alipay was a recently added payment method for buyers in mainland China. If I can how do I activate Alipay for all my listings?

You cannot activate it here,  if it's not an available method of payment for your buyer they need to find another, there are some which are worldwide available say Mastercard for example,  available for buyers in China.

As a new seller personally I would not wish to sell to China so soon,   and wait to gather some experience by only selling within the UK.  As said,  just personal choice !

There's nothing you can do.    The buyer has to use a payment method compatible with ebay.
