Buyers Making Offers To Sellers After The Item Has Sold And Seller Cancelling The Sale

Hi. This issue has been happening to me more and more often lately. I'll buy an item on a buy it now, or offer option where the offer has been accepted, and I pay immediately. Then between 10 minutes and up to 48 hours later I'll receive an email from the seller saying that they have received an message from a buyer saying that their item is worth more than what they sold it for and that they've been offered more money.  They then cancel my sale and relist the item for the buyer that messaged them. I then have to wait up to 5 working days to receive my refund and what is even more annoying is that they mark it down as "Buyer asked to cancel". It would be great if eBay could disable messaging for sold items and put a stop to this happening, only allowing messaging between buyer and seller. Every time I buy something now I'm waiting for the sale to be cancelled. If buyers have been a bit too slow and missed an item, they should accept that, not try and muscle in and get the original buyers sale cancelled.

You can report seller to CS and tell them you didn't ask to cancel.

Also leave appropriate feedback, something simple like "Seller did not honour sale".
