Buyer wants express delivery

I'm very new to eBay. This is the second time I've sold an item and the buyer has paid for the item and postage and then wants express delivery incurring almost £10 further costs - I paid for the label the first time but don't intend to get stung again. I've tried to raise a new invoice but can't seem to do it - any ideas please ?

Buyer wants express delivery

After a buyer has paid you cannot raise or revise an invoice.

The buyer is asking for something not originally asked for, and they should have asked before buying or paying then a revised listing or invoice could have been made.

You can send a message that if they wish for this express postage there is a surcharge of £10 which they would need to pay you asap,  and it needs to be done either by bank transfer or a Paypal Friends of Family payment,  or you can send them a PayPal invoice for the amount.

If they don't agree to this ask them if they still wish for the sale to go ahead and be posted with current postage conditions ,  if not you are happy to cancel the sale citing Buyer Requests to Cancel, and this will fully refund them.

Canceling the order citing Buyer Requests to cancel,  will also refund your seller fees and your seller performance will not be affected.

Buyer wants express delivery

There is no way for a second payment through ebay, has to be paypal or bank transfer,  otherwise cheque.

Buyer should have asked for different method of postage before paying then you could have sent an amended invoice. Buyers are not aware of what can be done and what cannot be done through ebay.

Thanks so much for this - really helpful.
Someone from eBay gave me a credit to make up for the overpayment but I’ll
be wiser next time !
Cheers
