Buyer selecting higher postage rate, leaving me out of pocket

I recently listed a watch, and eBay's recommended postage was £10.95.  On checkout, the buyer selected a higher value postage (£13.45), but I was only paid £10.95.  How can this happen, and where is my £2.50?
