Buyer says item not at parcel shop, what can I do?

Hello, I am a private seller and I recently posted someone a book using Evri to a parcel shop using simple delivery. The tracking says it is delivered to the shop, but the buyer says they don't have it. I have tried phoning the shop, but BT says number not recognised.

What can I do? Will I have to refund them? Will I get a refund  from Ebay for the book. Ebay say that I am protected, if the item doesn't arrive, but tracking says it did. I am so confused as to what to do.

I'm really put off selling now.

Advise the buyer to open an 'item not received' case.

If the tracking shows delivery, Ebay will deal with the buyer and close the case.

Hello. Thanks for helping me. I will let them know. What will happen to my money for the book or the lost package?

It's sort of put me off selling now

You will be paid for the book.

If the tracking shows delivered, unless Ebay compensate the buyer, the buyer loses out here.
