Hi all, so a buyer has requested a refund of an item they purchased from me for there car. Of course if I knew I was entirely at fault I would issue the refund without question but I posted the item and the picture shows exactly what you get and in addition the buyer messaged me before the purchase and I described the exact vehicle the said part had come out of and told them if they wished to purchase they would have to proceed through Ebay purchasing. Am I at fault here somewhere what action should I take? The part is a parcel shelf is have added a pic for reference. Thank you.

Has the buyer opened a return request through Ebay?
What reason did they give for wanting to return the item?
If they have opened a case and have chosen the reason 'item not as described', then your only option is to accept the return.

They have opened a return request and the reason is the item doesn't fit. I want to reasonable and accept the returns but it's frustrating as I had a conversation with him prior to him purchasing and explained the vehicle it came out of and would fit.

If the buyer has given the reason as 'doesn't fit', then you can refuse the return and the case will close.
Only business sellers have to accept returns using that reason.
