Buyer refuses to return item meant for someone else, after mix up at the post office counter?

A buyer is refusing to return an item meant for someone else after a mix up at the post office. The real recipient is waiting and I want to sort it out for them? They initially agreed to the return and the no more response.

Have you offered them a way to return the item that is free and convenient for them?

This is a situation where Ebay can't do anything to help you.

You can only keep communicating with the person who has the item.

Have you offered to pay return postage? and supply a  label so he can return to you.
