Hi, need some clarification please, please see attached screen shot. I received an offer from a buyer on an item I am selling. When I countered the offer, I thought my counter would be the amount I receive (if they accept) and it would not include the buyer protection fee. But it doesn’t read like that on the screen, it says the amount the buyer pays is my counter amount including £0 buyer protection, why isn’t it showing the buyer protection and the total the buyer pays?

A buyer offers what they want to pay so you get less because the Buyer Protection Fee is taken off that amount. When you make an offer/counter offer the BP fee is added on so the buyer pays more.

It appears to be an error. I have just done another which has worked as I expected. See the 2 screen shots below. They are doing it differently and one is incorrect. I will need to raise the error with eBay. As you can see one is adding the buyer protection fee correctly and showing the total the buyer pays, the other one is wrong as it has £0 buyer protection fee!

Added to the above Business sellers don't pay BPF, they get it automatically included within their "subscription".
