Buyer pays for postage

What happens when a buyer pays for postage but once you’re at the office the item costs more?  I was at the post office and this happened to me and was told to cancel the pre-paid label and purchase a new one. So does this mean the buyer has not paid any postage on the end?

Re: Buyer pays for postage

You can't cancel or change a Simple Delivery label but the cost of an unused (ie. unscanned) label will be automatically returned to the buyer, assuming they paid for it, within 30 days.

If you bought  postage outside of ebay you've paid for that yourself and cannot get it back.
