Buyer paid cash and collected after sale was auto-cancelled after 4 days

Hi. I'm trying to protect someone else's reputation.  One of my items was sold and arrangements made for the buyer to collect and pay cash. Unfortunately circumstances meant that payment and collection was delayed until 5 days after the listing ended. In the interim the transaction was cancelled 'for non-payment' presumably because I have that period set as a default (as recommended) and it did not occur to me to change it until I had the cancellation notice. The buyer duly came and paid and collected next day as rearranged but I suspect the buyer now has an unpaid strike against their account as it has happened to me in similar circumstances. Is there a way to advise eBay admin. that this seller had fulfilled their side of the transaction? There seems no way through the labirynthine web-site and the 'bot was  programmed by the same coder who comes up with the AI descriptions!

Nothing you can do about the unpaid strike.

You broke eBay rules by accepting cash as everything except vehicles must be paid via eBay checkout.

As you took the cash after the transaction was cancelled you indulged in an off eBay sale.
