Buyer not replying to arrange collection

Hello, 

 

I sold an item, the buyer made an offer I accepted it, got paid but the buyer is not answering my messages regarding collection. I’m not sure what to do now. Wait or refund the buyer and relist the item?

To refund you have to cancel sale which can cause you problems if done without buyers agreement.

Best way is to give buyer say 7 days in which to collect otherwise you will cancel sale.

 

By not picking up you can then assume you have permission to cancel.

You have to give the buyer a little more time,  as it only sold yesterday.  It sold for a lot of money,  so I'm sure the buyer hasn't forgotten about the purchase.

 

Wait another few days, I'm sure they'll be in touch.  It's a grey area,  that is, no concrete ruling,  but it's usual to wait 7 days for an item to be collected.

 

Should it approach that time still with no communication from the buyer,  send them a polite message that if you do not hear within ** days,  you deem the item to be unwanted,  and will be cancelling the order,  which will fully refund them.

 

Select Buyer requests to cancel and this then will not impact your seller performance.
