Buyer not picking up item

Can you help please?  Someone bought a Pilates reformer machine from me which I won’t receive payment from until it is collected.  Buyer has paid eBay however they are messing me about with collecting the item. Buyer messaged this morning saying they would be getting public transport to me however it would not be possible to take the machine on public transport as far too big. They are being very inconsistent replying to me. Am I able to cancel the order?

Your item only sold yesterday,  being a  Bank and Public holiday,  it's probably wise to give your buyer a little more time to arrange collection they may be involved with family time.   The usual time to give a buyer for collection  7 days.

You cannot cancel the order now after only one day, without receiving damaging defects  on your selling account.

Give the buyer a little more time.

Sorry, but the fact the buyer was coming to my house via public transport immediately set off alarm bells in my head.

It's still far too early after one day to cancel the order.  You can do,  you do not have to sell,  but be prepared for defects on your account and negative feedback from the buyer.

They may be coming by bus.  and a courier o friend with a van following !  You could send a message ensuing they understand the size of the item, though I'd have thought the price they paid would give some indication  and knowledge of the item purchased.

You'll need to give this more time.  The important thing here is to message them they or a courier if being used, Must bring with them the collection code, the item will not be released without it.
