Buyer 'Changed their mind' wishes to RETURN

Sold a PS5 bundle last friday after the buyer begged me to post for guaranteed next day delivery. Within 10 minutes of the buyer receiving the item they messaged me requesting a return stating they no longer wanted. I am a private seller who doesnt accept returns on my listings as I am fully transparent with my listings. Brand new boxed sealed etc.

Do I have to accept their returns request?

Buyer made me nervous because they offered to meet in person but they insisted on being refunded in cash or bank transfer which I refused. They then told me to collect from their home which I did but no one answered. I have no idea what to do. They've sent me photos of the item which from the photos hasnt been opened from the outer packaging. Can someone please help?

Thank you in advance!

B.

Until they open a return through Ebay, you don't have to do anything.

If they open a return and state they have changed their mind, you can refuse the return.

Re: Buyer 'Changed their mind' wishes to RETURN

They have opened a return request stating 'changed their mind' i have 3 options when i open the returns request. Accept return, offer partial or full refund or reject return request.

If i select reject return request can they escalate to ebay to step in?

I've tried my best to help them but they are wasting my time. I left work early last friday to post for next day delivery. I then drove to their home as agreed to collect the item but no answer and today we agreed to meet and they didnt show up.

Because you have a private account, you are able to reject the return request and they will not be able to ask Ebay to step in.
