Buyer Bought Wrong Postage

Hiya, my buyer bought a large letter packaging. Should have picked small parcel (mobile phone). How can I change as seller?

Thank you.

Re: Buyer Bought Wrong Postage

It's best to cancel the current transaction and relist with correct postage.   Tell buyer what you're doing then click on the dropdown menu arrow alongside the item on your orders page and select Cancel order > Buyer asked to cancel.    If they've paid a refund will be issued in the process.

Re: Buyer Bought Wrong Postage

Hiya, I had listed it with buyer selects postage and the buyer selected the wrong postage, not me. So can the buyer change or buy correct postage? I'm happy to buy postage myself and send, can I do this? Don't want to repost and start it all again, just want to complete sale. Thanks

Re: Buyer Bought Wrong Postage

I doubt the buyer can change it now but ask them to have a go.   Or you could contact ebay and see if they will change it.    Use callback on here:

If you end up having to cancel and relist it won't really be starting again.   The buyer will just buy and pay again.

Re: Buyer Bought Wrong Postage

Buyers can only select postage options you put on listing,

always check it is correct before going live.

Re: Buyer Bought Wrong Postage

Hiya, agree.
I selected simple buyer option.
Buyer selected but gave them large letter not small parcel.
Buyer didn't know as only fast or standard option. Called Ebay who admitted their system should not have issued large envelope.
They advised I buy a new label and post it which I will as no choice.

Re: Buyer Bought Wrong Postage

That is why simple postage is just that “simple”.

It is not up to buyers to select the correct postage, they will usually go for the cheapest, whether that is the most suitable or not, but you cannot charge more, unless you relist, but are likely to find a lost sale.

Re: Buyer Bought Wrong Postage

With simple delivery, ebay place the postage according to what you have listed in the listing, and they are getting it wrong at time, your not the only one.

The label can no longer be used and will void itself,so choose your own label and postage method if buyer wishes to buy again.

On the listing page under custom change you can opt out of simple delivery (for the time being!!)
