Business account

Hi, 

ebay are holding are payments because they want us to change to a business account which is fine, I tried to do this but it won't let us as we are not a limited company and don't have a companies house limited number so it won't work.

can anyone help solve this issue please.

This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services from the link below, for a Call Back option.  I do recommend contacting CS very first thing in the morning when the lines first open,  as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

thanks for your reply.

yes I know how to change to a business account, but to do this you need to be a uk limited company which we are not, it ask for our companies house number which we don't have as we are a partnership ( not a limited company).

You don't have a companies house number if your set up as a partnership, so it's basically impossible for me to have an a au business account it seems.

For this then , for your next steps ,  you do need to contact CS.  They must have come across this before and have the answer.

Use my link above, contact them at 8 a.m. lines currently closed,  and as said,  there's more chance of Dublin answering.  It's a  Call Back system,  so you'll hear if it's Dublin's dulcet tones.

Ok thanks I will give them a call, but I have a feeling this won't be resolved from reading about others with the same issue 🤦‍♂️

@61stephenuk  has noticed your account s registered as a Business account,  are you then still prevented from listing items for sale?

Your account is registered as a business with your contact details showing on your listings, as they should be.

Businesses can have many legal forms, sole prop, general partnership, limited liability partnership, and limited company.   They are all acceptable on ebay.
