Bought item for 25pounds don't fit returns it my self £4 they are trying to give me half of the price refund just because I opened the box to look at purchase

If so, the seller is entitled to only issue a partial refund.

Problem here is that if you bought the wrong size this is something you should be able to work out from the listing and the info on the packaging.

If you opened up and re-sealed it and the seller has made a deduction because you opened the box then clearly they can tell it's been opened, thus devaluing the product.
