Bought a refurbished engine that doesnt run

Hi, so I bought a refurbished engine for a motorbike. The engine was transported down to me by courier and fitted. When starting it up, it started once but soon gave up. The bike was then taken to a garage which told me that the engine had no compression in it  hence reason for it not starting. The seller has a video of it running, but in a bike, so no guarantee it is the same engine. I have since had to buy another replacement engine. 

Is this a good case for getting a refund?

If it's still within 30 days of the delivery date you can start a return on here:

select "Doesn't match description" and escalate it to eBay after 3 complete working days.

If it's more than 30 days it's too late to do anything via ebay but contact your payment provider and ask about a refund or chargeback.

Who arranged and paid for the courier?  If it was you then you have no comeback through eBay.  Have a look at the exemptions from money back guarantee cover.
