Bidding

Just noticed that items now run 2 time count downs.

In a winning position at the first end time only to find a further 4 minutes of running time.

This time ended at 8.06 again time was zero and I was the highest bidder.

Ebay then advised at 8.13 that I had not won as a bid entered 2 minutes earlier at 8.11 had won.

How is ghis possible 5 minutes after the auction end.

This is happening consistently now and making bidding a total fiasco.

Starting to think it's not worth looking at items that are auction sales.  No guarantee that your winning bid will be the winning bid.

Recent changes such as buyer protection and now bidding are making a mockery of the whole buying process

Re: Bidding

There is nothing odd about the bid history.  The winner bid 3 seconds before the auction ended, and it ended exactly 7 days to the second after it started.

There was no bid at 8.11.  The auction ended at 8.06.01.

The messages may be out of synch but auctions only have one end time and the highest bidder (subject to bid increments) will win.
