Bidding on tea knives

Being blocked from bidding on tea knives with out verifying my age.  Require credit card details but do not have a credit card only a debit card which isn't accepted. Does this mean I can not buy tea knives on eBay?

eBay are only accepting a credit card on file for verification to buy any bladed item on eBay as you have to be 18 years or older to own a credit card, and to buy a bladed item in the UK.

Anyone of any age can own a debit card.

If you wish to buy those items on eBay you will have o ask a friend or family member who do have a credit card on their eBay account to buy them for you.
