Hello fellow members. I hope you may have some advice for me please, I purchased a product from an Ebay seller who has a shop. I paid for the item as they announced the release and was told it would be 3 - 5 months as coming direct from manufacturer to them then to me. This was paid for December 23 so should have had the item approx May to June. 2024. I am still not in receipt of the item and have been told a few times 4 to 6 weeks and to date that they are still waiting for the item. They have said that due to it being over 60 days I cannot have a refund and have told me not to open a case with Ebay. I am not sure about this and hoping that someone will know what I can do to get my money back £240.

eBay and PayPal's buyer protection schemes only last for 30 days. Credit and deit card chargebacks can sometimes be made for up to, I think, about eight months.
How or where you hope to get your money back well over a year later I have no idea. Perhaps have a word with citizens advice, or see a solicitor.

If you've made a mistake with your dates and meant that you paid in Dec 2024, and paid with a debit or credit card contact your card provider and issue an item not received chargeback now - you have 120 days to do this so should be just in time.
If you haven't made a mistake with the dates then you've lost your money.

Hi Vyolla
The date is correct and because they are specific aeroplane models they is usually a wait for them, however I do have the email conversations as only communicate through Ebay as proof of the they are on the way to them from the distributors up to a few days ago. Sigh!
