I bought an engine from a guy on here I paid £875 then messaged him for his address so I could collect eBay showed he was approx 50 miles from me. I got no reply for hours then he asked for the QR code that I refused until id collected the engine as per the way eBay works. He still wouldn’t send me his address until many hours later then sent and address that’s obviously fake and almost 600 miles away when I pointed this out he started claiming he’d moved yet all his other items are still listed at same address so this is obviously a scammer probably a hacked account. I tried to cancel the item eBay won’t let me they declined saying not a scam I’ve reported the seller eBay says he’s done nothing wrong. So now eBay has £875 of mine and I’ve no engine and the scammer isn’t responding any more so where do I go to get my money back as eBay doesn’t seem to care.
