Bank account verification

When I withdraw my balance, It says:

We’re reviewing your recently added bank account

To verify that your bank can send and receive funds, we may deposit and withdraw £0.01 into your account. We’ll follow up if there’s anything you need to do.

I have completed a few withdraw before, but why bank account needs to be verified again?

eBay do these one off spot checks on accounts / bank accounts it's a security measure.

You are a new seller they just wish to be double sure the bank account being used,  is being used by the genuine account holder.

When that micro deposit of a penny arrives in your bank account,  confirm it bank , should be a message asking for this.  It's verified and if correct your on your way again to list items for sale,  and receive payouts from those sales.

Totally, understand. However it almost one week, there is no update when the verification will be completed.
