Bank account fees please help

Hi. I've just started to sell clothes which I understand it is free, I've sold 2 2nd hand tops and on my account it says no fees which is correct. But my bank account has been charged 0.06p, I know it's not a lot but I don't understand what this charge is as selling clothes doesn't incur fees and on my account activity there isn't any fees deducted. Please help

That 6p you are seeing,   is one of 2 micro deposits eBay send to you so you can register them with your bank account.

This ensures eBay they have the correct bank account to send your payouts to.  This is the registration and verification process for eBay's Managed Payments,  all sellers need to register correctly for this,  to be able to list items for sale on eBay,  and receive payouts from those sales.

Check this out here:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/help/selling/getting-paid/introducing-managed-payments-ebay?id=4795

Once you register those deposits eBay take them back.  Perhaps this is what you are seeing, that you origially missed the first 2 micro deposits to add to your bank account?  If this is the case,  you need to contact eBay Customer Services,  for them to send you 2 more.

Bank account fees please help

You have just started selling again after a long break so Ebay will need to verify your bank account.

They do this by using micropayments (usually 2 very small amounts) which they pay into your account then you pay them back.

Details here:

I've already had those 2 payments and that was sorted, and they were payments I received in, this payment of 6p is a payment going out that's what I can't understand?

Did the original payments get taken back out?

They pay them in, send you an email, and then they take the same amount back out.

Take a look here, this shows the complete breakdown of your transactions and any fees taken.

Use a PC / laptop if this is not manageable on the app or mobile browser,  Chrome and Firefox work best with eBay.

Yes they were taken back after everything was verified but now been charged 6p additional but I don't know why. When I look at the breakdown on my account there isn't any fees occurred this is what I find strange. Do you happen to know what else it could be?  I tried contacting eBay but keep getting the bot

If you've been contacting them just now the lines are closed but reopen in a few minutes  ( now !),  at 8 a.m. try then and you may get Dublin to answer, they have full access to your account and can explain that 6 p for you.  Do please come back to us and tell us,  we're all now intrigued too.
