Auto Relisting using the auto list until sold facility - FEES!

Good afternoon

Okay I've seen some items on the message board regarding the "free selling" for 300 lists per calendar month and I get this. I also get that if you choose "auto relist" they will be relisted just once (instead of the former number). However I discovered a year or so ago the "auto relist until item sells" feature and this prevented items "falling off" and going into cyberspace to no longer be seen. I am a little disappointed that eBay have used these auto relisting until item has sold in the 300 "free listings" and therefore I have been charged. I was under the impression the 300 free listings were for NEW listings in a calendar month. Has anyone else been "bitten" by this loophole? If I did take off "auto relist until item is sold" feature, is there a way to keep them without them disappearing forever?

Thanks for reading and any comments, advice would be much appreciated.

Auto relist items are not included in the free 300 listings, but manual relists are.

I suggest you look again at your listings to find what is being charged, you do not say how much, but 300 free listings a month are adequate for private sellers.

Give item numbers of some items which have been charged, it would be easier to come up with an explanation. I assume you have not used 1 or 3 day listings which ar charge 35p listing fee.
