On about 4 occasions in the last couple of years, I have had items bought on Ebay misdelivered. They go to a village about 10 miles away. The address shares the same house name, road name and town name (not village name or postcode).
The postcode on my delivery details are correct on my Ebay account info but at some stage in the process, it gets changed to that of the neighbouring village (as confirmed by the tracking info). So far, it has only happened when Evri is the delivery company. Any ideas what is going wrong and how to remedy this? Of course, it would be useful to speak to a human at Ebay but this seems impossible.

No one can know exactly what happens including eBay but many people find Evri unreliable. If Evri is used again and delivers successfully to your house you could have a chat with the person delivering and see what they think. If that doesn't help you can ask sellers in advance to de-select Evri in their postage preferences. In the meantime make friends with your address doppelganger. 🙂

Not knowing the address, would it be worth editing your address to exclude TOWN NAME.
I have no idea how Evri work, but possibly your address is in a different Evri delivery area, and initially address and postcode do not match, so driver looks up post code working first on the Town which brings up the other post code.
